How to Warm Up Your Dedicated IP Address
How to Warm Up Your Dedicated IP Address?
TrueInfluence assigns a private IP address to all customers above the free trial level. A big advantage of a private IP address is that you won't affected by the mistakes of others (e.g., too many spam complaints) that can get them blocked. With a shared IP address, one bad sender can get everyone sharing the IP address blocked by the ISPs.
If you are planning to send more than about 10,000 recipients at a time, it is important to ramp up your email sending in order to build the reputation of your IP address. The problem is if you were to send out a large number of emails immediately upon getting a private IP address, the ISPs are much more likely to defer or block your emails. Once you have ramped up successfully, you can send much higher email volume and get it through the ISPs' filters successfully.
Recommended Schedule (mailings can be broken up into smaller batches sent every 4 to 6 hours):
* Send to 10,000 recipients on days 1, 2 and 3
* Send to 20,000 recipients on days 4, 5 & 6
* Send to 40,000 recipients on days 7, 8 & 9
* Send to 80,000 recipients on days 10, 11 & 12
* Send to 160,000 recipients on days 13, 14 & 15
* Send to 300,000 recipients on days 16 +
Aggressive Schedule:
* 20,000 (10,000 twice a day 6 hours apart) day 1 & 2
* 40,000 (10,000 four times a day 6 hours apart) day 3 & 4
* 80,000 (20,000 four times a day 6 hours apart) day 5 & 6
* 160,000 (40,000 four times a day 6 hours apart) day 7 & 8
* 300,000 (75,000 four times a day 6 hours apart) day 9 & 10
